Application Criteria

Qualification Criteria

To qualify as an Insurance Solutions Advisor (Insurance Agent), the candidate shall satisfy the following qualification criteria:

  • Must be an Ordinary Resident of Myanmar
  • Must be at least 18 years old, in good health, and possess a pleasing personality
  • Must have passed the matriculation exam (or) have a minimum of five years’ work experience in the insurance sector
  • Must not have been declared bankrupt
  • Must not have been convicted of a criminal offense or any crime involving dishonesty, fraud, or misrepresentation
  • Must not be involved in money laundering or financing terrorism activities
  • Must not have been denied or rejected for an insurance agent or broker license
  • Must meet any additional requirements set by the FRD as they arise

Requirements for Obtaining an Insurance Agent License:

To qualify for a general insurance agent license, an applicant:

  • Shall complete the agent training course conducted by the Insurance Agent Training Institute, or the in-house training provided by the relevant insurance company
  • Shall pass the qualification test conducted by the Insurance Agent Training Centre
  • Shall obtain approval from the IBRB for the insurance agent license issuance

Qualification Criteria

To qualify as a candidate for Insurance Solutions Director (Corporate Insurance Agent), the following criteria must be met:

  • All individuals involved in the corporate insurance agent’s business operations must hold valid insurance agent licenses
  • A financial institution seeking to operate as a corporate insurance agent must have at least three individuals with valid insurance licenses
  • Corporate insurance agents must comply with the Insurance Business Law, along with all relevant rules, regulations, directives, and any other applicable laws
  • Management-level personnel in the corporate insurance agent must not be engaged by any other insurance business
  • The corporate insurance agent must meet any additional requirements set by the FRD as they arise

Requirements for Obtaining a Corporate Insurance Agent License

To apply for a corporate insurance agent license, the following documents and information must be submitted to the IBRB:

  • The registered name and date of incorporation (a certified true copy issued by the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration)
  • The address of the head office and the name of the responsible agent
  • Details of the members of the Board of Directors
  • A certified true copy of the company’s Constitution
  • A list of insurance agents and certified true copies of their licenses
  • Any additional information prescribed by the FRD
  • A minimum paid-up capital of MMK 15,000,000

  • အာမခံလုပ်ငန်း ဥပဒေ၊ သက်ဆိုင်ရာ စည်းမျဉ်းများ၊ ညွှန်ကြားချက်များ သို့မဟုတ် အခြား တည်ဆဲ ဥပဒေများအရ ချမှတ်ထားသော ညွှန်ကြားချက်များကို လိုက်နာမှုမရှိခြင်း မရှိစေရ
  • ကော်ပိုရိတ်အာမခံကိုယ်စားလှယ်ထံရှိ မည်သည့်ဝန်ထမ်းများမဆို အခြားအာမခံလုပ်ငန်းများတွင် ပါဝင်ဆောင်ရွက်ခြင်း မပြုရပါ
  • ကော်ပိုရိတ်အာမခံကိုယ်စားလှယ်သည် ငွေရေးကြေးရေး ကြီးကြပ်စစ်ဆေးရေးဦးစီးဌာနမှ တောင်းခံသော အခြားလိုအပ်ချက်များကို အချိန်နှင့်တပြေးညီ ဖြည့်ဆည်းဆောင်ရွက်ပေးရမည်
ကော်ပိုရိတ်အာမခံကိုယ်စားလှယ်လိုင်စင်ရရှိရန် လိုအပ်ချက်များ

အာမခံကိုယ်စားလှယ်လိုင်စင်လျှောက်ထားရန် အောက်ဖော်ပြပါအချက်များကို တင်ပြရန် လိုအပ်ပါသည်
